Job Description

We are looking for a knowledgeable Electronics/EMC Engineer to join our team in an ISO17025 accredited EMC test laboratory. This is a hands-on testing role focused on evaluating electronic products for compliance with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and radio equipment directive (RED) standards required for European (CE) and US (FCC) certification. You will work directly with clients and internal teams to plan, execute, and document EMC testing activities.

Valid visa to work in the UK is essential

Key Responsibilities:



Conduct EMC testing on a wide range of electronic products in accordance with international standards (e.g., EN, CISPR, FCC).

Develop and write detailed test plans and procedures based on client requirements and applicable standards.

Operate and maintain EMC test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, LISNs, anechoic chambers, and EMI receivers.

Analyze test results and assist clients in resolving non-compliance issues through re-testing.

Prepare detailed technical reports and compliance documentation to support regulatory submissions (CE/FCC).

Interface directly with clients during the testing process to provide guidance, updates, and technical insight.

Use programming tools such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, or equivalent for test automation and data processing.

Ensure accurate and efficient task management while working independently and within a collaborative team.

Key Skills & Experience:



Solid understanding of digital and analogue electronics and circuit design.

Strong knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles and measurement techniques.

Familiarity with RF engineering and common radio standards.

Practical experience with EMC test setups and standards, such as EN 55032, EN 61000-4 series, CISPR, and FCC Part 15.

Experience preparing test plans, running tests, and documenting results in a lab environment.

Proficiency in LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or other technical programming environments used for measurement and automation.

Excellent communication skills for working with clients and writing clear technical documentation.

Ability to manage personal workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing test requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:



Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline.

Previous experience working in an EMC test laboratory (accredited or pre-compliance).

Understanding of the product certification process for CE (EU) and FCC (USA).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-55,000.00 per year
