Responsibilities:
As an Electronics Technician at Vector Inspection, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and optimization of our state-of-the-art ultrasonic inspection equipment. Your responsibilities will include:
Equipment Assembly:
Build, assemble and test the inspection equipment ready to be be sent out into the field
Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on ultrasonic inspection devices, ensuring optimal functionality and reliability.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve electronic and technical issues with inspection equipment, both in the field and in the workshop. Fault finding and repair down to component and board level.
Calibration:
Perform calibration procedures to maintain the accuracy and precision of inspection devices.
Quality Control:
Implement and adhere to quality control processes to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of inspection results.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, calibration, and repairs. Generate reports for internal and client use.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the engineering and operations teams to provide technical support and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements:
The ideal Electronics Technician will need the following skills and experience:
Degree or diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Electronics knowledge with a genuine interest in Electronics
Manufacturing experience and ability to always work in the most cost-effective manner.
1st class soldering and rework skills.
Soldering under a microscope
PCB and product assembly with good manual dexterity
Hard working and flexible to meet company and customer demands
Able to read and interpret circuit diagrams; Bill of Materials and where required, kit out for production.
Must be able to work independently and think for themselves
