Eyedot (Europe) Ltd are currently seeking an electronics engineer or dedicated hobbyist with a strong interest in vintage computing and classic microprocessors, particularly the Motorola 68000 family.
This role involves ongoing support and development of essential infrastructure equipment built around this iconic processor. The systems are critical to long-term operations, and support is expected to continue well into the future.
In addition to work with the 68000, there will be opportunities to work on analogue electronics, as well as other microprocessor architectures used across different systems.
Eyedot (Europe) Ltd is an electronic systems support business that has been operating for over 36 years, with strong commercial ties across aerospace, defence, MoD primes, rail, and road sectors.
Applicants should be comfortable working with schematics, mixed-signal systems, and low-level hardware or firmware, and have a genuine enthusiasm for keeping classic technology alive and operational.
An understanding of the 68000 architecture, embedded systems, or hardware troubleshooting is essential.
If you have a passion for retro computing, reverse engineering, or maintaining real-world systems built on classic silicon, we'd love to hear from you.
