Electronic Engineer - Building Automation



We are partnering with a forward-thinking specialist in the

building automation sector

, seeking to expand their team with a talented

Electronic Engineer

.

In this role, you will contribute to the

design and development of electronic and electrical circuits

for cutting-edge product innovations. Your responsibilities will include schematic design, PCB layout, and integration of components into both new and existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:



PCB Design

for integration into systems, including:

o DALI driver design

o Bluetooth communication interfaces

o Relay circuits

o Lighting Control Modules (LCMs) & control modules for LED drivers

o PoE switches and drivers

o Sensors

Component selection

for circuit designs

Maintain

accurate documentation



Set up and oversee

long-term product testing

to evaluate performance

Assemble

demonstration and training kits



Train

Commissioning Engineers

on product functionality

Conduct

product testing, fault finding, and quality inspections

(RMA & Goods-In Inspection)

Assist with

in-house and field testing

of new product developments (NPDs)

Design electronics to comply with

industry regulations

(EMC, LVD, etc.)

Test and troubleshoot

BLE devices

, including app functionality and firmware updates

Manage

client app access

and collaborate with software developers on improvements

Coordinate

prototype development

, ensuring proper logging and labeling

Oversee the

R&D lab

, maintaining an organized inventory of samples and project materials

Key Skills & Experience:



Degree, diploma, apprenticeship, BTEC, or HND in

Electronic Engineering



Experience in

circuit design and testing

, ideally within lighting control, communication devices, or similar electronics

Practical expertise in

PCB schematic design, component selection, and layout integration



Proficiency in

product testing, fault finding, and debugging

to maintain high-quality standards

Knowledge of

industry regulations

(EMC, LVD, etc.)

Some familiarity with

embedded systems, software, or firmware testing

(e.g., Bluetooth devices)

Ability to work within a

cross-functional team

, collaborating with engineers, designers, and project managers

Experience in

technical documentation, test specification writing, and troubleshooting records
