We are seeking a talented Electronics Hardware Engineer with at least 1 year of industry experience to join our expanding research and development team. As a key member of our small yet dynamic team, you will play a critical role in developing new, innovative products in the field of computerized, electromechanical, breathing training devices. Your expertise in prototyping, PCB design, and embedded systems will be instrumental in advancing our product offerings, ultimately helping to improve the respiratory health and athletic performance of our customers around the world.
POWERbreathe International is the market leader in non-pharmacological management of respiratory diseases through respiratory muscle trainers. We offer fully mechanical and electrical products with varying functionality that are used by a wide range of users from patients trying to wean off ventilators or recovering from a lung transplant to professional athletes who are trying to improve their lung capacity and strength.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Prototyping of potential future products, including designing and testing new circuits and components, and writing firmware for embedded systems.
Performing end-to-end design of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) utilizing Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) software, spanning from the prototyping phase to the final production stage.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and product designers to develop new products that meet user requirements.
Working with regulatory agencies to ensure that our products meet UKCA/CE/FCC requirements for bringing small radio devices to market.
Key Skills and Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
At least 2 years Industry experience with designing, developing, testing and improving multilayer PCBs. (Altium, Kicad, Eagle)
Experience designing embedded systems and writing firmware for microcontrollers. (C,C++)
Experience with Bluetooth enabled designs and wireless protocols.
Experience prototyping new product concepts and working with cross-functional teams to develop new products.
Desirable:
Experience with CAD software for mechanical design.
Knowledge of UKCA/CE/FCC requirements for bringing small radio devices to market.
