Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Test Engineer to join our innovative Production Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing electronic products, PCBAs and components, ensuring they meet test specifications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on standard production, projects, R&D prototypes and Customer RMA returns. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and experience with a variety of design tools and programming languages.

Responsibilities

Testing of electronic product. Fault-finding down to component. Fully conversant on electronic schematics for complex electronic assemblies. Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot hardware, component and firmware issues effectively. Perform system integration and debugging of electronic circuits, including surface mount and through-hole components. Collaborate with systems test, electronics & mechanical engineers/technicians to ensure seamless integration of electronic and mechanical systems. Full conversant in the use of test equipment - oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators... Analyse signal processing requirements and optimise electronic performance accordingly. Support manufacturing processes such as soldering, surface mount assembly, and testing of prototypes. Document designs thoroughly in schematics and technical reports to facilitate manufacturing and future troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or HND in Electronics Engineering (essential) Proven experience and knowledge of electronic schematic drawings and fault-finding. Knowledge of electronics circuits, surface mount technology (SMT), debugging techniques, and soldering skills. Mechanical knowledge relevant to electronic system integration is desirable. Ability to perform root cause analysis on complex hardware issues efficiently. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in schematic creation and documentation practices.
