Job Description

As an Elite Retail Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff at one of our prestigious retail partner locations. You will be responsible for conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, monitoring CCTV systems, and maintaining a strong security presence on the shop floor. Your attention to detail will assist in preventing theft, deterring suspicious activity, and identifying potential risks before they escalate. You will also be required to respond swiftly and professionally to security incidents, including managing conflicts, conducting investigations, and liaising with law enforcement as necessary.
Your duties will include performing bag and receipt checks in accordance with company policy, assisting with emergency evacuations, and ensuring all health and safety procedures are adhered to. You will also be expected to provide excellent customer service, offering assistance to customers and staff while maintaining a courteous and approachable demeanor. Accurate reporting of incidents and daily activities is essential, as is working collaboratively with store management and other team members to uphold the highest standards of security and professionalism.
To succeed in this role, you must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence, possess excellent observation and communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure. Previous experience in retail security or a customer-facing security role is highly desirable. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, is required.
