Are you an experienced and confident driver? Do you have good communication and organisation skills? Would you like to be part of a team delivering services to schools across Cheshire?

If so, we are looking to recruit to a 37 hour per week Driver based at Education Library Service, Winsford.



We are looking to recruit a flexible, customer focussed library driver to provide a front line library service to schools across Cheshire who subscribe to our services..



You will need to be responsible for the safe running of the vehicle and completing daily checks, highlighting any maintenance issues where necessary. You will need to hold a clean driving licence with class C1, and have comprehensive driving and customer service experience.A CPC driving certificate is desirable but this can be undertaken upon appointment. This position requires a level of fitness as lifting and carry loads up to 15kg is essential.

We are looking for someone to join our team at the Education Library Service to drive our mobile Book Bus on its visits to schools across Cheshire, Halton and Warrington.



The postholder will assist in routine library duties on the vehicle and at ELS base including selecting stock from the shelves and assisting with issuing and returning items. The postholder will also act as an ambassador for the service and will support teachers and pupils to ensure they get the best experience from our service.



On occasion the postholder will be required to support with our delivery and collection service to schools.



You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to develop positive working relationships and be able to deal with varied situations in a pragmatic and supportive manner. You will have the energy and enthusiasm to deliver the range of services we provide.



The post is is Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm during term time.
