Join our fast-moving stealth startup as an Embedded Hardware Engineer working on next-generation wearable technologies. You'll help take complex embedded systems from prototype to production, working closely with firmware, mechanical, and design teams to build compact, reliable, and manufacturable hardware.#
Your profile
What You'll Do
Design and develop embedded electronics for wearable and electromechanical systems
Lead schematic capture, PCB layout, and bring-up of compact mixed-signal boards
Work closely with firmware and mechanical engineers on system integration and testing
Prototype and validate hardware in the lab, including electromechanical interfaces (e.g. pumps, valves, actuators)
Support hardware verification: performance, power, and fit testing
Assist with component selection for manufacturability and long-term availability
Contribute to improving documentation, design reliability, and build processes
Support external manufacturing and early factory builds when needed
What We're Looking For
5+ years in embedded hardware or electronics development
Experience shipping at least one commercial hardware product (wearable, consumer, medical, or similar)
Strong PCB design skills (Altium or KiCad), including mixed-signal and compact layouts
Comfortable with power systems: PMICs, battery charging/protection, current sensing
Familiarity with electromechanical elements (e.g. pumps, valves, actuators, or similar)
Confident debugging hardware with scopes, logic analysers, and test equipment
Experience with common digital and analogue interfaces (IC, SPI, UART, ADCs)
Exposure to manufacturing, DFM, or supporting builds is a plus
Technical Skills & Tools
Awareness of RF layout principles and wireless systems
Familiarity with EMC/EMI design and pre-compliance testing
Experience with analogue signal conditioning and low-power design
Understanding of certification paths (CE, FCC, battery safety)
Exposure to RF simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, or similar (a bonus, not required)
Soft Skills
Strong communicator: able to explain, document, and review design decisions
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment
Balances rapid iteration with disciplined, manufacturable design
