Embedded Software Engineer Security Clearance Cambridge

Cambridge, United Kingdom

Job Description

Embedded Software Engineer - Security Clearance - Cambridge

A growing spinout security technology company, based in Cambridge, are currently looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer who can help with the development, modification and improvement of a range of security technologies.

Your focus will range across radio, satellite, communications, radar, sensors and other complex technologies for the defence, aerospace, telecommunications and other cutting-edge sectors where you\'ll develop new technologies.

You\'ll be working with a team of experts, including electronics design engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers, physicist and other experts. Due to this you won\'t specifically need to know the sector, as this is trainable, but you will need to be experienced in developing embedded systems using C/C++ programming languages.

This company\'s products and services are bespoke for clients, meaning your projects will always be unique with their own problems and challenges keeping you engaged. Apart from working on specific client projects, you\'ll also be involved with developing new versions of the technology and the improvement of current versions, again offering you a really varied role that will keep you interested for a long time.

If you have worked in telecommunications, aerospace, scientific, radar, radio or other complex technologies that communicate between each other this would be ideal, but not essential. Your Embedded Software experience is more important than the specific sector.

You will need to be able to obtain security clearance for certain roles, this normally means that you hold a British passport with no criminal record or have lived and paid taxes in the UK for a number of years (again with no criminal record).

This role has been developed due to company growth. They pride themselves on investing in their staff providing you with continually training to develop your career. They actually are award winning due to their investment policies in their staff.

Apart from your award-winning training, career development, and varied/unique work, you will also be rewarded with an excellent starting salary, bonus, pension, medical insurance, life assurance, free parking and other excellent benefits.

There is currently a number of roles in this company as a Embedded Software Engineer, due to this we will consider different levels of experience from being your second role in industry through to a senior candidate with years of experience.

Salary will be dependent on experience and there may be new roles being signed off in the future, so if you are interested, I suggest making an application now or risk missing out.
