WHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99LL DO Nearly half of all Seakeepers are sold to our European customers. As our EMEA Sales Manager, you will help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets while leading a team of sales professionals throughout EMEA. In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll not only help us support and grow our existing OEM, distributor, and dealer networks, but help us to grow and break into new accounts through the following:
Sales and business development responsibilities include:

  • Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing, coaching, developing, and motivating the sales team
  • Designing and implementing a strategic business plan that expands the company\xe2\x80\x99s customer base, ensuring its strong presence in the market
  • Driving the introduction and adoption of new Seakeeper models
  • Developing business within the EMEA commercial and military boating markets, supporting the corresponding team member doing independent cold-calling, active research, and visits to create new opportunities for retrofits and new build/tender opportunities
  • Collaborating with the EMEA Sales & Service Director about recreational and commercial boating market trends, while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Supporting the sales team in the weekly management and upward reporting of refit opportunity and OEM pipeline lists, preparing monthly sales outlook updates, driving the conversion/shipment of backlog, and preparing quarterly and yearly forecasts
  • Preparing and/or providing meeting presentations with OEMs and Dealers
  • Providing regular reporting and collaboration to the EMEA Sales & Service Director including the status of customer meetings and regular sales activities, strategies, and efforts
  • Establishing and meeting quarterly/yearly growth and ASP targets
Building and promoting strong, long-lasting OEM relationships through the following:
  • Partnering with them and understanding their needs and their culture
  • Arranging and managing OEM trainings in cooperation with our Factory Technical Representatives, Training and Application Engineering teams
  • Building relationships with our distributor and dealer network through the following:
  • Ensuring they are an extension of the Seakeeper family, aligned with Seakeeper values
  • Making sure they are up to date with all communication, Seakeeper business systems and tools, and Seakeeper University training that would benefit their business growth
  • Supporting our partners in upholding world-class customer experience for our end users
  • Recruiting new dealers and managing the overall network to ensure we have adequate coverage to support refit sales and end user support
Other responsibilities include:
  • Holding monthly updates with our Service & Training Managers
  • Joining events, sea trials and International Boat Shows within the EMEA area
  • Collaborating with our marketing team and on ideas and events we can implement to help increase brand awareness throughout the region

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Do you have a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to hustle in a fast-paced environment? Then Seakeeper is the place for you! Here are a few other things you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to succeed.
MUST-HAVES
  • Minimum of 10 years of marine industry sales experience within the EMEA region and travel experience on an international scale combined with demonstrated success managing sales cycles
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience leading and managing a team of direct reports, with proven success motivating, coaching, and developing teams
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience selling, managing, and building relationships directly with OEMs throughout the EMEA region within the marine industry
  • Experience breaking into new accounts and negotiating contracts
  • Willingness to bring new ideas to the table and see those ideas through to execution to drive new business
  • Remain flexible, adaptive, and creative when it comes to negotiating new contracts while holding the team accountable to these same standards
  • A valid passport and the ability to travel both domestic and international approximately 50% of the time are required
  • Must be a cultural fit and be aligned with the values of the company which includes being result-oriented, collaborative, a team player, self-motivated, flexible, fast, active, well organized, and able to maintain a positive work attitude
  • Be a hands-on salesperson that stays up to date with current developments and future trends within the industry, with the ability to build relationships with customers, both internal and external
  • Be of unquestionable integrity and personal ethics
  • Be able to work independently, maintain filing systems and basic databases, gather, and analyze information skillfully, and can make sound, timely, and accurate judgments while supporting reasoning for decisions
  • Must have a strong command of Microsoft Office products and strong verbal skills and the ability to communicate professionally
  • Be able to read, write, and speak fluent English

  • Your region to manage will be the EMEA region
  • Our ideal candidate will be based in the UK, The Netherlands, or Germany
  • This is a remote position, but you can expect to travel up to 50% of the time, with some reoccurring travel to our regional office in Lavagna, Italy, and supporting Seakeeper\xe2\x80\x99s shows and events in EMEA
  • You\xe2\x80\x99ll report to the Director of EMEA Sales & Service, based in Germany/Italy
