Role Purpose


The Technical Specialist - Network Architecture is responsible for designing, reviewing, and optimising complex hospitality network environments in alignment with Reivernet's standards, partner frameworks, and global hotel brand compliance requirements (e.g., Marriott GPNS, Hilton UNO-NET, Accor, Hyatt). Additionally, the role will provide guidance in the absence of global brand standards, particularly for local and independent hotels. This role provides subject matter expertise across network architecture, security, and brand-compliant infrastructure delivery, ensuring that Reivernet's solutions are robust, scalable, and operationally efficient.


The role bridges technical design with operational delivery, supporting Reivernet's transformation strategy and growth targets across the EMEA region.


Key Responsibilities

Network Architecture & Design



Develop, review, and validate network designs and architectures for new builds, renovations, and network refreshes. Ensure compliance with brand standards (Marriott GPNS, Hilton UNO-NET, IHG, Hyatt, Wyndham) and Reivernet's internal frameworks (Stella Relay, Eleven Gateway). Provide guidance to local and independent hotels where global brand standards are not defined. Design scalable and secure network solutions, incorporating WLAN, LAN, firewalling, switching, WAN optimisation, and SD-WAN technologies. Provide architectural input during RFP and project scoping phases. Incorporate Site Compass as a reference tool for network topology and deployment planning.

Technical Oversight & Compliance



Act as technical authority during design approvals, vendor coordination, and UAT. Ensure alignment with Reivernet's compliance frameworks, including Certificates of Good Standing and automated monitoring/reporting. Evaluate vendor designs (Infrateq, Ferrum Media, etc.) and identify deficiencies or risks prior to deployment. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies, vendor roadmaps, and brand standard changes. Be the subject matter expert for the Brightstar Stella platform for monitoring and configuration in EMEA.

Project Delivery Support



Provide architectural guidance and troubleshooting support to GNOC, Field Engineering, and Delivery Partner teams during implementation. Serve as escalation point for high-complexity issues relating to design and integration, in both presales and post-sales support capacities. Lead reviews of compliance checks and documentation to ensure 100% first time UAT pass rates Assist with pilot projects, proof-of-concepts, and test lab validation of new network hardware/software.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement



Engage directly with hotel owners, brand representatives, and project managers to explain design intent and compliance requirements. Support the Sales and Customer Onboarding teams by providing technical input for proposals, pitch decks, and design documentation. Represent Reivernet as a subject-matter expert in customer meetings and brand forums.

Operational Excellence



Contribute to continuous improvement of Reivernet's design standards, configuration templates, and documentation. Work closely with GNOC to ensure architecture decisions support ongoing monitoring and SLA performance. Act as Reivernet's advocate for Brightstar Stella platform for monitoring. Mentor junior engineers and Delivery Partners on architecture best practices.

Key Competencies



Strong knowledge of network architecture, switching, wireless, and security (Juniper, Cisco, Ruckus, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent). Deep understanding of hospitality brand compliance frameworks (Marriott GPNS, Hilton UNO-NET, etc.). Hands-on experience with enterprise wireless and wired LAN/WAN environments. Ability to balance architectural design with operational and commercial constraints. Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms. Customer-focused mindset with ability to build trust and credibility at senior stakeholder level. Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and risk-assessment skills. Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5+ years in network engineering/architecture roles (hospitality sector experience preferred). Vendor certifications (e.g., CCNP/CCIE, CMSS, ECSE, JNCIP/JNCIE, Fortinet NSE, CWNP) strongly desirable. Experience designing and supporting multi-vendor, large-scale enterprise networks. Demonstrated track record in delivering brand-compliant hospitality projects across EMEA. Familiarity with automation, monitoring platforms, and network compliance tools.

The pay range for this role is:



50,000 - 70,000 EUR per year(UK)
