This involves working in the ED Majors unit, Resus, the speciality bed wait areas for patients awaiting admission to the ward & ED urgent treatment unit. The reception role involves, after extensive training: working on various hospital and national computer systems, inputting data accurately and at speed, maintaining accurate electronic and paper records, dealing professionally with telephone enquires both internal and external, maintaining a high level of patient confidentiality. A high level of customer care is required for this role. In addition, you\xe2\x80\x99ll make sure the Department itself is looked-after by reporting equipment faults, ordering supplies and stationery and generally keeping the place tidy.
