About the role

As a Happy Coach, your job will be to run our Happy Schools and Happy After School programmes at various schools across Hertfordshire. Sessions involve games, movement, positive affirmation exercises, teaching calming techniques such as breathing and peer massage, and ending the session with a guided meditation. Groups range from 4 to 15 children, all with varying emotional, physical and mental needs and the age range tends to be ages 5-11.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all children are able to access sessions and managing all behaviour. You will be teaching children using positive reinforcement strategies and it is important that your teaching style is playful, engaging and fun whilst being able to maintain boundaries when necessary, and keep all children safe.

You will be responsible for ensuring the children's safety whilst they are with you. There may be occasions when it is necessary to speak to a teacher about a child's progress and it is important you have a friendly, approachable and confident manner.

This is an incredibly fulfilling and exciting role where you are able to empower children with the ability to take care of their emotional selves and self-regulate calmly. You will be responsible for teaching children skills that will last a lifetime, and that will especially support them through their teenage years. We are excited to be recruiting yet again and growing our amazing and supportive team, which you will become part of. As you gain experience with us, there will be further opportunities for working in schools during the school day, and even over the holidays in our holiday camps.
