The Careers and Employability Service require an Employability Coach to support and coach students/graduates to search for opportunities and develop the ability to make successful applications.




The postholder will support undergraduate and postgraduate taught students, and graduates who have access to the service for 5 years.


Recruitment practices in the student and graduate labour market are continuously evolving, and this post will enhance the service we provide to support our students/graduates in achieving success.




The role will involve working with students/graduates on campus and online on a 1:1 and small group basis to provide information and advice on job search strategies, understanding employer expectations and making applications.


The postholder will contribute to the development and updating of resources relating to these topics. They will be supported to engage in continuous professional development to ensure knowledge of the student and graduate labour market, and employer recruitment practices are up to date.




This post is part-time, semester only, 17.5 hours a week over 30 weeks (0.28 FTE) with a 7-week break over December / early January and a 15-week break from May to mid-August. Working hours will be during core hours of 9.30 am and 4 pm. The successful candidate will be required to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. This is a campus-based role located in the Careers & Employability Service in Glasgow city centre.
