The RoleThis is a 12month contract role.
As the Employee Communications & Content Partner you will play a crucial role in enhancing employee engagement by ensuring effective communication across Depop's internal channels, bringing our brand, strategy and mission to life.
You will lead cross-functional communication plans, content briefs and channel improvements, and be a key partner in planning cycles and quarterly strategy building to support employee engagement. You will build trusted relationships and drive multiple projects, working closely with external comms, employer brand and creative colleagues to ensure consistency in how we show up from the inside, out.
As well as delivering a steady drumbeat of communications, content and connection moments for employees, you will collaborate as comms partner on key initiatives driving Depop's growth, such as: learning and development, new ways of working, workplace experience, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, brand activations, product launches, and sustainability efforts (to name a few).
Key Responsibilities
Internal Communications:Develop and implement internal communication plans to keep employees at all levels informed and engaged.
Plan, create and distribute updates and content across our internal channels, e.g. email, Slack, Glean, info-hubs and docs, social media and company events.
Partner with teams across Depop to gather, review and share relevant updates and stories that support business messages and create alignment to our strategy.
Provide crucial support in building materials for quarterly All-Hands, monthly Huddles, lunch & learns, conversation events, leader Q&As, Depop seller collabs & internal community building activities.
Content creation:Build engaging, on-brand content that elevates our communications across Slack, email, presentations, info-resources, videos, bulletins, imagery & graphics.
Develop content briefs and partner with creatives (in-house & external) to produce standout content for key moments.
Maintain a content planning calendar & budget tracker.
Optimising our internal channels:Monitor usage and effectiveness of our employee communication channels, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
Partner with IT, internal operations and channel vendors to implement new features and improvements to drive channel engagement.
Comms operations:Maintain a planning calendar & channels guide to ensure messages land optimally.
Codify our comms guidance and build self-service resources to empower colleagues in creating their own comms and content, scaling the impact of our team's expertise.
Feedback and improvement:Conduct surveys, polls, focus groups, follow ups & data downloads to gather insights on the effectiveness of communications, content and engagement efforts.
Analyse insights to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in internal communications and employee engagement.
Required experience:Experience in internal communications, employee engagement, campaign & content creation, or a similar role.
Excellent written, verbal & visual communication skills, high attention to detail.
Strong organisational, planning and project management skills, balancing multiple deadlines and stakeholder needs.
Experience developing engaging, brand content. From shaping briefs and executing, to measuring the impact afterwards.
Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and different role levels.
Ability to connect dots, aligning comms and content to strategy, brand and mission.
Creative thinking, problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in employee communication and productivity tools such as: Slack, GSuite, Confluence, Miro, AI tools, live event software, Slido, intranet & content management systems.
Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
