We are now hiring an

Employer Engagement & Careers Lead

to champion our learner progression by forging strong industry connections, placing talent into work, and ensuring every student finishes their journey with a real opportunity for success.

Key Responsibilities



Develop and manage employer partnerships across the creative, digital, and media industries Promote the academy as a

talent pipeline

to local businesses, agencies, production houses, and freelancers Match learners to live job, internship, freelance, and business opportunities based on their career goals and course focus Organise industry events, networking sessions, employer drop-ins, and learner showcases Work alongside the Learner Success & Outcomes Coordinator to track and report learner outcomes (e.g. job interviews, paid opportunities, self-employment) Provide employer feedback loops to improve curriculum delivery and learner preparation Maintain a database of employer contacts, job roles, industry trends, and placement opportunities Collaborate with tutors and support staff to align job-readiness with learner progression milestones Build long-term relationships with employers to ensure future learners benefit from new roles, briefs, or industry collaborations

Person Specification



Essential



Proven background in employer engagement, business development, recruitment, or careers services Passion for creative industries and helping others succeed professionally Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build partnerships across different sectors Experience working towards job placement or learner progression targets Comfortable organising events and speaking confidently with external stakeholders Understanding of the challenges learners face transitioning into employment or freelancing

Desirable



Previous experience in a bootcamp, skills training, or adult education programme Network of contacts within media, film, content, music, or creative digital industries Familiarity with government-funded training initiatives or outcome-based learning Experience supporting underrepresented or underserved learner communities

Pay: From 12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
