Salary:

26,516 per annum + 7% employer pension contribution, 1% employee contribution

Hours:

Up to 35 per week (part time/ job share considered)

Working Pattern :

Monday - Friday 9.00 - 4.30pm.

Holidays:

37 inclusive of 12 Statutory days

Location:

Head Office, 144 - 152 Ravenhill Road, Belfast, BT6 8ED

Travel to and from other locations is part of the role.

Contract:

Permanent subject to funding

Overview

Orchardville is a voluntary organisation and registered charity that supports young people and adults with learning disability or autism to live, learn and work. Established in 1982 we offer high quality day opportunity and employment services to over 600 participants each year who attend services in Belfast, North Down, Lisburn and Derry/ Londonderry. The work we do is life changing for participants, enabling them to lead independent lives, gain employment and become fully included in their community.

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and socially confident Employment Officers with experience of supporting people with disabilities to achieve their personal goals There are two vacancies available.

You will work intensively with participants who primarily have a learning disability or autism to support them to prepare for employment, secure a job and provide initial support in the workplace. This includes developing personal action plans, job searching sessions, developing CVs and preparation for interviews. You will also work directly with employers to identify opportunities and to support your participants in the workplace.
