We deliver a range of contracts funded by the Greater London Authority, designed to help London residents secure sustainable, high-quality employment. A key contractual target is ensuring that at least 60% of clients achieve a "good job" outcome, defined as employment at or above the London Living Wage, with secure and sustainable terms. This role will take full ownership of the employment and progression elements of our GLA contracts, ensuring we exceed outcome targets and provide clear evidence to the funder.
Role Information
The Employment & Progression Manager will be LCG's visible lead for job outcomes in London. The role will involve building strong networks with employers, attending and representing LCG at partnership meetings, engaging with learners, and ensuring all outcome evidence is collected and reported accurately. The postholder will also work closely with internal teams, including our academies, flexible learning, and data teams, to ensure learners are supported into "good jobs" or progression opportunities such as promotions and pay rises.
DUTIES
Build and maintain relationships with London-based employers to generate high-quality job opportunities for learners.
Attend and represent LCG at local partnership meetings (e.g., West London Partnership, South London Partnership) and GLA job outcome forums.
Engage with job fairs, employer networking events, and recruitment drives across London.
Work with LCG's academies and flexible learning teams to connect learners with suitable vacancies.
Liaise with the Data Team to track candidate progress via Careers Pro and Destination Pro systems.
Update Learner Management Systems such as ProMonitor with regular feedback on learner's progress.
Ensure that you are an advocate for the Careers Related Learning Programmes within your region.
Ensure all job outcomes meet GLA definitions and contractual requirements.
Ensure that contractual employment and progression targets are met for your regions.
Support in-work learners to secure promotions and wage increases.
Collect and verify evidence of outcomes for compliance and funding claims.
Produce regular progress reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
Share employer engagement best practice across LCG.
Deal promptly, efficiently, and professionally with client and colleague requests.
Contribute to overall business activity, including networking events and conferences.
Conduct your role in line with the company values and expected behaviours

Proven experience in employer engagement and recruitment
Understanding of "good job" principles and London Living Wage requirements.
Track record of achieving employment outcome targets in funded programmes
Excellent networking and stakeholder relationship management skills.
Strong organisational and data management skills
Confident public speaker able to represent LCG at external events.
Desirable
Knowledge of GLA-funded programmes.
