Role Overview



We are seeking an experienced

Employment Solicitor

to join our team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of employment law matters, acting for both employers and employees, and will contribute to the continued development of the firm's employment department.

Key Responsibilities



Advise clients on all aspects of employment law, including unfair dismissal, redundancy, discrimination, TUPE, whistleblowing, and contractual disputes. Draft and review employment contracts, settlement agreements, staff handbooks, and policies. Represent clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings, including case preparation, drafting pleadings, witness statements, and conducting advocacy where appropriate. Provide advice on day-to-day HR and employment law issues, including disciplinary and grievance procedures. Handle negotiation and settlement of employment disputes. Build and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring excellent client care. Support the firm's business development activities by networking, contributing to articles, and maintaining professional relationships. Ensure compliance with SRA Standards and Regulations and firm procedures.

Requirements



Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (2-5 years PQE preferred, though other levels considered). Strong knowledge of employment law and tribunal procedures. Proven experience handling a varied caseload with minimal supervision. Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills. Strong advocacy experience is desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commercial awareness and ability to contribute to business development. A proactive, organised, and client-focused approach.

Pay: 35,000.00-75,000.00 per year
