Employment Solicitor (2+ PQE) - Wakefield (Office-Based)

We're looking for an Employment Solicitor to join our growing team at

My Law Solicitors

in Wakefield.

The Role

This is a permanent, office-based role in Wakefield (parking included). Full-time is preferred, but part-time will be considered for the right candidate.

Please note: this role is office-based and is not hybrid/remote.

You'll work closely with our Employment Solicitor and Managing Director, handling a varied employment law caseload and supporting clients through matters from initial advice through to resolution.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys client work, wants stability, and values being part of a supportive team.

What You'll Be Doing

Your work will include a range of employment matters, such as:

Advising on employment rights and employee relations matters Settlement Agreements (advising clients and negotiating terms) Employment Tribunal matters (as appropriate for your experience) Drafting correspondence, documents and legal advice Managing matters efficiently and keeping clients informed Working professionally and collaboratively within a small team

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Is a qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 2 years PQE in employment law (or equivalent experience) Is confident handling a caseload and managing deadlines Has excellent client care and communication skills Wants to work in a small firm where relationships and team-fit matter Values a healthy work-life balance and a sustainable pace Is not chasing equity/partnership and prefers stability Is happy in an office-based role (this is not hybrid/remote) Can commute to Wakefield reliably (parking is provided)
