, supporting patients through their diagnostic journey and ensuring they receive the right care at the right time.

The Role

As an Endoscopy Triage Nurse, you will play a key role in the patient pathway by:

Reviewing referrals and assessing clinical suitability for endoscopic procedures Prioritising patients based on urgency, symptoms, and clinical guidelines Conducting pre-procedure telephone assessments and providing clear preparation advice Working closely with Consultants, Admin Teams, and the wider Endoscopy Unit Ensuring patient safety by identifying red flags, medication risks, and contraindications Coordinating booking decisions and supporting the management of waiting lists Providing compassionate support, reassurance, and education to patients
This is a

consultative and assessment-led role

, ideal for a nurse with strong clinical judgement and excellent communication skills.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

A Registered Nurse (NMC Pin active) Experienced in endoscopy, gastroenterology, pre-assessment or a similar acute setting Confident reviewing clinical information and making safe triage decisions Highly organised with excellent communication skills Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team Passionate about delivering safe, efficient and patient-centred care
