Overview of the role
Responsible for maintaining the end-to-end lifecycle of all endpoint devices (laptops, desktops, cloud PC and mobile) across the enterprise. Will engineer and maintain both build and configuration to ensure they are secure adhere to vendor best practices. Assume ownership and control of all endpoint tooling such a MDM, Configuration Manager, etc. capabilities
Main Responsibilities
Managing desktop/endpoint support engineer's workloads with regular 121's plus mentor and expand knowledge around endpoint management
Produce regular reports around endpoint estate, status including levels of compliance.
Generate and maintain appropriate support documentation.
Maintain productivity and collaboration integrations/capabilities such as Office 365.
Embrace and apply solutions that positively contribute and embrace Digital End-user Experience (DEX)
Establish and maintain an inventory of all endpoint applications (including packaging and deployment standards)
Maintain appropriate path to production environments to ensure application and operating system updates can be fully tested ahead of rollout.
Ensure endpoint operating system is no more than n-1.
Liaising with the Infrastructure and Application Support Teams in problem resolution and making sure processes are followed correctly.
Customer facing - liaising directly with business users at all levels
Proactive identification of service improvements.
Ensure that all incidents and requests are actioned and resolved within agreed SLA's.
Work closely with Infrastructure Management and Architecture to maintain and update roadmaps.
