The Energy & Retrofit Funding Manager/Officer will lead SER Contractor's applications for ECO4 and the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) while overseeing delivery compliance and maximising funding opportunities. The role will also support the company's wider sustainability and carbon reduction strategy, embedding best practices across projects and internal operations to help achieve our net zero ambitions. Key Responsibilities Funding & Bid Management Manage preparation and submission of ECO4, SHDF, and other retrofit funding applications. Work with internal teams, consultants, and supply chain partners to collate evidence and build strong applications. Track new funding opportunities and advise leadership on priorities. Programme & Project Delivery Ensure works meet compliance, quality, and timescale requirements. Liaise with housing providers, local authorities, and energy suppliers to manage programme outcomes. Sustainability & Carbon Reduction Support SER Contractor's sustainability and carbon reduction strategy, ensuring measurable progress. Develop and track sustainability KPIs (energy efficiency, waste reduction, carbon footprint). Promote sustainable practices across business operations and projects. Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with PAS 2035/2030, Ofgem (ECO4), and DESNZ (SHDF) requirements. Track and evidence carbon savings, EPC improvements, and project results. Prepare reports for management, clients, and funders. Stakeholder Engagement Build relationships with social landlords, local authorities, energy companies, and supply chain partners. Support procurement and engagement of contractors, retrofit coordinators, and assessors. Encourage SME and local supply chain participation. Essential Skills & Experience Experience in managing funding applications (ECO4, SHDF, or similar schemes). Strong knowledge of retrofit, energy efficiency, and low-carbon technologies. Understanding of PAS 2035/2030 and housing retrofit standards. Strong project management, organisational, and reporting skills. Ability to manage budgets and ensure compliance. Excellent stakeholder and client engagement skills. Existing connections or relationships with energy companies are highly desirable. Strong industry relationships may also provide early insight into funding opportunities, policy developments, and partnership possibilities, helping SER Contractor to maximise project outcomes, ensure compliance, and strengthen engagement with key stakeholders in the energy sector. Desirable Skills Knowledge of sustainability and decarbonisation strategies (including carbon reporting). Experience in housing, construction, or retrofit Retrofit Coordinator/Assessor qualification (advantageous).
