Job Description

Imperium Commodity Search is working with a diversified Inter-Dealer Broker (IDB) in London looking to grow their energy derivatives team across institutional clients. To facilitate this growth, our client is looking to hire an energy derivatives broker with a book of institutional clients across the Energy space (oil, products, distillates, coal, gas, LPG, NGL, LNG, emissions etc.) Our client offers both clearing and execution services on both listed and OTC markets and is experienced across alternative investments, providing DMA (Direct Market Access) to clients in London.
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Onboard and manage client relationships across institutional and banking market participants in the oil and energy space
• Actively promote the firms execution, clearing and brokerage services to clients in the energy markets (oil, gas, coal, emissions, power, LPG, LNG, NGL etc.)
• Execute trades via voice and electronic execution systems on both listed and OTC energy products
• Manage swaps/options trades and execution on behalf of clients
• Provide clearing services to institutional and banking clients with a trading interest in the energy space
• Onboard clients to the DMA (Direct Market Access) offering of the firm
• Actively promote the business and its functions to clients and where required represent the firm at industry events and conferences
• Keep up to date on industry news, events and market movements; communicating this with clients and helping advise hedging and trading decisions / execution

Requirements:

• 3+ years' experience within an energy derivatives brokerage
• Solid experience in swaps and options with a sound understanding of the structure of these products
• Experience across exchange traded and OTC energy (oil, products, distillates etc.) products
• Excellent analytical skills
• Portfolio of business or strong network of clients in the space
• Experience in piecing together, distributing and advising on market commentary and updates with clients across the institutional space
