Job Description

G4S Facilities Management is seeking an Energy & Environmental Analyst to be the driving force behind our sustainability reporting. Your primary responsibility will be the rigorous analysis and reporting of all utility and environmental data for G4S contracts and regional carbon initiatives. You will ensure compliance and performance across our portfolio by:

Executing site-based energy and environmental audits.
Evaluating and improving Building Management System performance.
Directly supporting contract teams to achieve and maintain all necessary environmental compliance standards.
This is a remote (home-based) position. However, it requires frequent travel (usually one day a week) to our Oxford office, and sometimes across other national sites to fulfil essential business needs.
Core responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Strategic Reporting
Insight Generation: Take ownership of utility and waste datasets, performing rigorous analysis to produce insightful management reports that enable contracts to effectively monitor consumption, identify performance trends, and manage resources.
Mandatory Compliance Reporting: Collate and process diverse environmental datasets to meet mandatory and voluntary reporting obligations, including input for the annual ESG report, SECR reporting, and Carbon Reduction Plans.
Auditing, Optimisation, and Site Support
On-Site Auditing: Conduct energy and environmental audits across G4S and client sites throughout the UK, producing clear, actionable reports that identify specific opportunities for efficiency improvements.
BMS Interrogation: Interrogate Building Management System (BMS) performance to drive energy efficiency, proposing and documenting changes to control parameters and setpoints to minimize waste.
Risk & Compliance: Assess site-level energy and environmental compliance, proactively identify environmental risks, and promote best practices, formalizing findings and recommendations in official reports.

Environmental Governance and Compliance
ISO 14001 Compliance: Work closely with the Environmental Manager and contract teams to drive and maintain compliance with G4S Facilities Management's ISO 14001 standard across all sites.
Records Management: Support the accurate upkeep of essential environmental records and permits for the entire G4S FM portfolio.
Internal Compliance: Ensure all personal work and processes adhere strictly to the CaES team's internal ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) management systems.
To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who -
Demonstrable, hands-on experience in a similar energy, environmental, or sustainability role
Strong Data analyst skills
Practical experience managing environmental and/or waste compliance within a corporate or business context.
Working knowledge and operational experience with Building Management Systems
Strong grasp of utilities (energy, water, etc.) management within a business and commercial context.
A robust, working knowledge of UK energy and environmental legislation and mandatory reporting schemes (e.g., SECR, ESOS)
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
Desirable Criteria:
Has a degree in a relevant environmental, sustainability, or energy-related discipline.
