Location: Based in Belfast, Mobile Across NI
Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday, 37.5
Job Type: Permanent Full Time
The Energy Manager will :

  • Oversee and manage current EMT project for key client and develop energy savings schemes to develop viable energy savings opportunities
  • Manage energy saving initiatives through BMS optimisation and tracking performance against set points and trends for key clients,
  • Work closely with our clients to develop and implement energy and low carbon management plans from inception through to delivery
  • Manage energy savings projects from planning, mobilisation, installation, commissioning through to completion
  • Provide technical advice to existing and new customers developing low cost/no cost and bespoke innovative energy savings schemes
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers &. manufactures to provide quality products fit for purpose ensuring accurate ROI
  • Govern energy data collection ensuring continuity &. quality of data reporting
  • Carrying out site inspections and energy surveys
  • Preparing detailed schedules of work, feasibility studies and cost analysis
  • Benchmarking energy consumptions against best practice guidelines and ACOP
  • Keeping abreast of relevant legislation, availability of grants and funding
  • Support the business development team to identify new business opportunities &. assist with quality submissions
  • Maintain relationships with key clients
  • Any other task deemed to be relevant to this post
This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the Electrical Contracts Engineer and the range of duties to be undertaken. It does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals.
About You
Essential Criteria * Qualified to degree level in building services engineering, electrical 8: mechanical services or similar
  • Demonstrate ability to identify opportunities for clients to make energy savings
  • Demonstrate relevant experience of managing small projects from concept to completion
  • Demonstrate understanding of current market trends and new technologies
  • Demonstrate excellent communications skills with the ability to work as part of a team
  • Relevant experience in mechanical and electrical systems
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office package i.e. Excel
  • Full UK drivers licence
Desirable Criteria * Demonstrate previous experience in a similar role OR Technical expertise in relevant discipline(s) who wish to develop their skills and knowledge in the energy management sector
  • Experience with BEMS systems
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of AMR & eM&T technologies
  • Demonstrate sound commercial knowledge
  • ESOS lead assessor
  • Low Carbon Consultant
