Job Title: Energy Projects Manager
Location: Stockport / London / Birmingham - UK - Office & Site-Based
Contract: Full-time
Our client, is scaling its on-site energy and smart-infrastructure capability across a large UK industrial and logistics portfolio. Their Utilities function is moving beyond single asset delivery into portfolio-wide solar optimisation, with BESS, EV charging and energy services forming the next phase.
They're looking for an Energy Projects Manager to take end-to-end ownership of solar led projects, from opportunity identification and feasibility through to delivery, commissioning and performance tracking - with clear scope to expand into battery storage, EV charging, and energy optimisation technologies.
This is a hands-on development and delivery role, combining technical judgement, commercial rigour, and strong project leadership.
Key Responsibilities:

• Identifying and evaluating solar PV opportunities across the portfolio, considering both technical and commercial feasibility
• Building robust investment cases and business proposals, including CAPEX, OPEX, and ROI analysis
• Leading projects through the full Utilities Target Operating Model (TOM) lifecycle from Gate 0 to Gate 5
• Managing relationships with EPCs, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Collaborating closely with the Engineering team on design assurance, commissioning, and ensuring optimal performance outcomes
• Tracking project performance post-delivery and supporting continuous optimisation efforts
• Contributing to the development of our client's Solar TOM into a broader Energy Projects playbook, incorporating BESS, EV charging, and energy services

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in renewable or distributed energy project delivery or development.
• Strong solar PV project experience.
• Exposure to BESS, EV charging, or energy optimisation technologies is advantageous.
• Proven capability in end-to-end project delivery and commercial decision-making.
• Experience working with EPCs, O&M providers, PPAs, and navigating regulated energy environments.
• Ability to operate confidently across strategy, on-site activities, and stakeholder engagement.
