Engagement Arboriculturist (Part-Time)

We are seeking a skilled Engagement Arboriculturist to help manage our tree nursery and lead on community tree-planting projects. This is a new role offering the chance to combine arboriculture expertise with volunteer and community engagement.

Key responsibilities:

Manage tree stock from seed collection through to planting or sale Lead on propagation, pruning, irrigation, and tree care Support and inspire volunteers, schools, and community groups Work with local authorities on planting plans and aftercare Organise planting days, workshops, and community events Maintain records, manage stock/tools, and contribute to social media updates
What we're looking for:

Qualified to at least Level 2 in Arboriculture (or equivalent in horticulture/forestry/work experience) Practical experience with trees (professional or volunteer) Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to engage and motivate volunteers and community groups IT and record-keeping skills; knowledge of tree management or GIS software desirable Driving licence desirable but not essential
