Job Title: Engagement Lead

Location: Hybrid (London-based with some travel to events)

Hours: 14 hours per month (flexible - occasional Saturday work for engagement events, with travel reimbursed)

Salary: 1,000 per month (take-home)

From Me To You - The Art of Survival is a Black-led charity dedicated to improving cancer awareness, screening uptake, and timely diagnosis in underserved communities. We use lived experience, culturally relevant outreach, and advocacy to tackle health inequalities and save lives.

Role Overview

We're looking for a passionate and organised Engagement Lead to help strengthen our connection with the communities we serve. This role involves building relationships, capturing community voices, and supporting our awareness and advocacy work -- while handling the organisational and administrative tasks that make engagement activities run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with individuals affected by cancer, community partners, and stakeholders.

Organise and attend community events, forums, listening circles, and focus groups.

Coordinate logistics for engagement activities (venue booking, invitations, materials, refreshments).

Maintain active communication channels (phone, email, newsletters, social media).

Support awareness campaigns and advocacy activities in collaboration with the team.

Handle administrative duties including meeting notes, scheduling, and record-keeping.

Work flexibly to attend occasional weekend events (with travel expenses reimbursed).

Collaborate closely with the Men's and Women's Group Leads to ensure inclusive and impactful programming.

Skills & Experience

Strong organisational and administrative skills.

Confident communicator with experience in community engagement.

Ability to work flexibly and independently.

Culturally sensitive, with a commitment to equity and inclusion.

Experience in the charity, health, or community sector (desirable but not essential).
