Job description
Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent



Play a key role in strengthening engagement with tenants and residents to improve customer satisfaction.



A key member of a new team, you'll take part in policy reviews, which aim to give residents a voice, so they can be involved in shaping council housing services and polices to meet their requirements and needs. Building strong relationships with tenants, you'll support with shaping and setting up mechanisms that are accessible to all communities. You'll deliver engagement and involvement activities at a local and city-wide basis ensuring tenants are at the heart of our decision making and feel listened to.



This is a full time, permanent post working 37 hours per week working Monday to Friday. You'll be required to have require a high degree of flexibility and will involve frequent work outside normal office hours, in the evenings and at weekends.



What you'll be doing





Working with a wide range of stakeholders, you'll be the lead officer for engagement in one of the three city districts ensuring the voice of the resident is heard within the housing division. Consulting with residents, you'll gather views and interpret these into tangible results. You'll keep abreast of best practice in engagement and policy and ensure that senior managers are briefed.



What you'll need





With experience of working in a social housing environment, you'll understand engagement and involvement techniques along with best practice. You'll have proven people skills, with the ability to listen, understand and ask questions with diplomacy and tact. You'll be able to think methodically and logically, to process detailed information, and weigh up complex issues. Flexible in your approach to work, you'll have the ability to work outside normal office hours on a regular basis.



You'll have full driving licence and access to a vehicle. Appointment will be subject to a Basic DBS check.
