We are seeking a skilled and dedicated engine fitter/mechanic to join our engineering team. The successful candidate must have experience with removing & refitting engines . This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our existing team while developing technical expertise within a professional environment.
Diagnose faults and perform repairs or adjustments as required to minimise downtime.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively.
Document maintenance activities and report any issues or irregularities to the supervisor.
Collaborate with other technicians and work independently
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during operations.
Ability to remove ancillary items, strip engine of components ,clean parts and rebuild
Requirements
Experience as a Fitter or in a similar mechanical role.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment and measurement instruments.
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail.
Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or similar are desirable but not essential.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
A valid UK driving licence is preferred but not essential. This position offers a dynamic work environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are highly valued.
