The job is a multi-skilled position which includes both electronic and electro mechanical engineering.
The successful applicant will receive initial training on the various instruments and test equipment used. They shall also be required to attend college one day per week to attain an NVQ Level 2 in engineering. Once confident, they shall be required to work on their own initiative to complete work schedules as required.
The candidate will be required to carry out repairs and rebuilds on a wide variety of electro mechanical sub-assemblies. In addition, they need the ability to work as part of a team and liaise with other departments accordingly.
They must be hands on and have an interest in developing their engineering skills; it is essential that applicants are self-motivated and have excellent attention to detail. No previous experience with engineering and scientific instrumentation is necessary as full training will be provided on the various products.
To begin August /September 2025.
