STAIRLIFT / HOIST ENGINEER WANTED FOR OUR INVERNESS BRANCH

An opportunity has arisen for a Stairlift/Hoist Engineer to join the team in our Inverness branch working in the Highland, Moray and Aberdeen-shire areas.

Able Care is a Stannah Stairlifts authorised distributor and the successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair and/or maintenance of their range of products and other makes of stairlift and ceiling track hoists.

Candidates will have a trade background, ideally mechanical or electrical, preferably with previous experience in the installation, service and repair of stairlifts and ceiling track hoists although this is not essential as full training will be provided. It is essential that you can project the friendly, professional image by which we are known; therefore excellent communication skills and a smart appearance are extremely important. A valid driving licence will always be essential to the role. Any job offer will be subject to a Disclosure check.

Job description:

Duties include, but are not limited, to:

Assisting senior staff and other team members as necessary Learning about stairlift/hoist products sold/maintained Fitting, maintaining, servicing stairlifts and hoists Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required Participation in the out of hours call rota

Person specification:

Engineering experience Knowledge of stairlifts and hoists is desirable but not essential as full training will be given Excellent communication skills Disability aware Customer focused Good time keeper Smart appearance Driving Licence
39 hours per week (8am - 4.30pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-3.30pm Friday, with half hour for lunch). Wage range 25,000 - 29,000 depending on age and experience.

Participation in the out-of-hours on call rota is essential for which overtime rates and an on-call allowance is paid in addition to the pay scale advertised.
