Job Description

The Logistics Engineer will work on various projects related to the design, planning, execution, and optimisation of logistics systems and processes. They use data analysis techniques for modelling, problem-solving, alongside project management skills to improve the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of delivering a seamless project.

Responsibilities



Proficient in data cleaning and preparation. Adept in analysis and exploration using a variety of modelling techniques. Ensure the agreed project management methods are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Lead or assist the Project Manager and Team Managers in the production and maintenance of project plans. Complete all necessary project documentation in accordance with current requirement. Develop and maintain the project documents, electronic filing, recording, and reporting systems. Develop and implement appropriate configuration management procedures. Define and document procedures in accordance with agreed methodology. Develop and support effective communication mechanisms between the project teams. Confident to create and design warehouse layouts with the appropriate software. Complete Time Study tasks to support & evidence cost benefit analysis of improvements and efficiencies. Support GK, 5S and other improvement activities across the division. Complete operational observations and study work to aid the data analysis process. Undertake ongoing training to ensure the department stays proactive within the business. Data reporting using appropriate presentation methods. Work hand in hand with Operations to ensure minimum impact of project work. Assist with project Risk Analysis and contribute towards development of suitable countermeasures.

Skills and Qualifications required



Knowledge and experience of a formal project management methodology A high degree of computer literacy including advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite Project planning ability and the ability to analyse and present information. Knowledge of working within a warehouse environment. Knowledge of CAD or other related software. An understanding of Time Study analysis. Experienced with data Analysis Tools such as Power BI or equivalent. Industrial Engineering or equivalent
