We are BRC AA& Lion approved and we currently supply major food manufacturing, wholesale and QSR companies. There has been heavy investment in 2024 & 2025 in new equipment and automation, whilst we have also acquired of another company and formed of a joint venture company with a major European business
We are recruiting for qualified multi-skilled engineers to join our team based in Shawbury, Shropshire. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment, as well as implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimise downtime. You will also be involved in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
The coordination of planned maintenance and annual service activities
Responsible for maintaining and improving all engineering assets within your area of control
Maintaining multiple machines including a Tetra - Pack filling machine, spiral freezer and travelling ovens.

Involvement of engineering activity required for Technical audits
Keep abreast of innovation/improvements associated with an FMCG environment
Support the achievement of productivity and efficiency improvement targets
Support the achievement of departmental expenditure targets
Deliver projects in line with health and safety legislation requirements
Delivery project supporting documentation in line with best practice Skills and experience
Recognised Mechanical & Electrical Engineering qualifications. City & Guilds minimum.
Minimum 4-5 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable
Fully familiar with legislative requirements of engineering in a manufacturing environment including risk management and risk assessments
Health & safety knowledge, NEBOSH or IOSH qualification is ideal.
Practical application of continuous improvement methodologies
Knowledge and experience of PPM strategy, improvement techniques and tools
In depth knowledge of engineering standards
Experience of working in a complex manufacturing environment
Good communicator to all levels of the site
Full training provided on all machines
