Engineer - Stairlift/Hoist/Mobility Equipment

Stairlifts Scotland Ltd is a small family business based in Glasgow specialising in the installation, repair and maintenance of stairlifts, hoists and bathing equipment. Experience would be an advantage, but not a necessity. In house and manufacturer led training programmes will be put in place for the successful candidate to both refresh existing skills and develop new ones.

The position is full time generally (8.30am -5.30pm Mon- Fri) but the post holder is expected to be flexible to fit in with the needs of our customers. We provide an emergency call out service to all our customers which includes weekends and bank holidays, and this is covered by a rota system. Due to our company growing, overnights in further away locations for installations would be expected when required.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

- Good problem-solving skills and fault-finding experience

- Good attention to detail.

- Ability to work unsupervised.

- Ability to work as part of a team

- Responsible with day-to-day operations.

- keep van and work areas/client's properties clean and tidy.

- heavy lifting is required with some of our products

- Competent in the use of hand tools and power tools.

- Responsible for maintaining van stock

- Shared Responsibility for housekeeping in the warehouse.
