Job Title: Engineering Administrator

Location: Luton

Salary: \xc2\xa328,000 \xe2\x80\x93 \xc2\xa332,500 per annum

Job Type: This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, normally Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30 with a 30-minute unpaid break.

Must have the right to live and work in the UK

Must hold a Full UK driving licence

THE ROLE:

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Administrator to join our established, reputable busy team at our Luton base.

Reporting to the Engineering Director, the Engineering Administrator will carry out non-technical administrative tasks, supporting both the Luton and Stansted bases. Additionally, the role will provide administrative Technical Services departmental support as appropriate.

A summary of key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Completion of attendance reporting for Director and correct input & completion of the weekly attendance timesheets for payroll and inputting (attendance and overtime) on the electronic attendance management system.
  • The control and approved issue / reconciliation of petty cash.
  • Provide a reception function for customers and visitors, ensure they are met and have correct identification for access to our facilities, to also include telephone answering duties. Note: \xe2\x80\x93 It is not required to cover all business hours.
  • Process purchase orders through suppliers for non-aircraft related items and source the best possible value for these items.
  • Provide reports on routine basis, to include such things as daily man hour booking reporting, Aircraft maintenance input summaries.
  • Monitoring of cleanliness within the on-site offices and reporting any deficiencies to the Manager.
  • Liaise with on-site base customers to ensure office cleaning is completed and any issues are brought to the Managers attention.
  • Control, administration & ordering of stationary, uniforms, overalls and PPE work wear across the Engineering department.
  • Assisting with Engineering training for bookings and other arrangements as required.
  • To attend and take/distribute minutes for Engineering type meetings as required.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

Previous experience of working within an aviation / airline environment is beneficial however not essential.

This role is suitable for anyone with a strong administration / personal assistant background who is familiar with dealing with multiple priorities and teams at any one time.

Good computer skills (Microsoft packages, general working knowledge of systems) are a requirement.

Applicants should have an organised, adaptable and flexible approach with strong interpersonal skills and a diplomatic approach. You will be enthusiastic, willing to learn and maintain a professional appearance and manner at times in sometimes challenging circumstances.

The ability to prioritise in an ever-changing environment, remain calm and adapt under pressure are essential for the role.

Excellent communication skills are key to this role, combined with courtesy and integrity which are equally as important. Good administration skills and computer literacy are essential qualities.

The role will require you to provide support at both locations therefore a full UK driving license is essential, as is holding the right to live and work in the UK.

You will also need to have a 5-year checkable history in order to obtain an airport ID pass.
