Engineering Apprentice

, where you'll gain valuable mechanical and electrical skills while working in a

dynamic, fast-paced environment

.


In this role, you will learn to

observe, follow, and maintain

all

safe systems

across the site, ensuring full compliance with safety instructions. You'll develop a

broad skillset

in both

mechanical and electrical engineering

, progressing from

learning tasks under supervision

to completing them

independently and competently

. Your journey will include

site-based applications

of the knowledge gained through your apprenticeship programme, helping you grow into a skilled engineer.


As part of your development, you will

attend college-based learning

punctually and consistently, demonstrating the

professional behaviours

expected of a Reach Printing Services employee. You'll also be responsible for building a

work-based portfolio

to evidence your learning and successfully pass any

assessments

set by the learning centre. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will participate in

all working shifts

, including times outside of core hours where required, to reinforce your learning and develop essential skills.


Your responsibilities will include

reporting work on the EAM system

, communicating effectively across teams through

email, reports, documentation, and verbal feedback

, and ensuring compliance with

engineering visual standards

where applicable. You will also contribute to

preventative and corrective maintenance

efforts, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and effectively. By the end of your apprenticeship, you will be well-prepared to successfully complete the

End Point Assessment (EPA)

and contribute to engineering and operational tasks as required.

Qualifications

What you'll need to succeed:




To succeed in this role, you must comply with

current right-to-work legislation

and be at least

18 years old

at the time of employment to meet site safety regulations. You should have the ability to

attend both the worksite and the learning centre

at the required times and days, demonstrating reliability and commitment to your training. Most importantly, you must have a

strong desire to learn and grow

, striving to become the

best engineer you can be

while embracing the challenges and opportunities that come with the apprenticeship.
