SURE Solutions is a rapidly growing Engineering organisation with a multi-award winning apprentice program and, since starting business seven years ago, is now a team of 64 with ongoing growth. We are looking for a motivated apprentice to support the next stages of our expansion.

Working from our Hull Branch (HU3 5JL), we're looking to recruit a driven and ambitious individual with excellent communication skills and a desire to grow with a business which has doubled its growth year on year since inception and works closely with some of the largest national and global companies and organisations.

This apprenticeship will be designed to cover a specialist start in Refrigeration Engineering at Level 3 (3 years), with the option to progress towards a Level 4.

Working Hours 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday. 39 hour working week.

Starting annual salary 15,717.00, with discretionary annual bonuses dependent on company and individual performance. Salary will have stepped increases year on year.

SURE Solutions will cover training costs, reasonable study time and support to complete Level 3 and Level 4 RACHP and Engineering Qualifications as a stepped apprenticeship scheme, with discretionary salary review opportunities at regular intervals and milestones achieved. Level 4 qualification is equivalent to first year of a Foundation Degree.

*Please note that you will be required to attend Liverpool City college on block release one week out of every month. All expenses will be covered by the business.

Main purposes of job

Working on our customer sites to support engineering project installations and routine maintenance visits alongside the engineering team. This role is predominantly site based and remote. Travel will be frequent, but always under the supervision of a senior engineer.

Key tasks

*Liaise with colleagues, customers and suppliers.

*To develop a deep understanding about the Refrigeration industry and thermodynamics.

*Use of hand tools to a high standard under the supervision of a senior engineer

*Lead and manage one off improvement projects

*Provide general support to the Engineering Team as required

*Play an active role in the apprentice team (currently 11), share ideas, support and challenge each other

*Generate ideas to contribute towards the continuous improvement of the team

*General duties on site

GCSEs for Maths, English and Science at Level 9-4 or equivalent A*-C

Ability to maintain a positive attitude and persistence in the face of challenges

Desire to learn to drive. It is necessary that the apprentice will need a full UK driving license by the end of the apprenticeship, or earlier is desirable.

Experience

Some employment experience preferred but not essential. More important is personality and the desire to work for a small but rapidly growing team.
