The purpose of the role is:



Implement and drive the development and oversight of all Risk & Compliance activities across the Account to ensure compliance whilst assuring alignment to local and relevant CBRE policies and management systems. Ensure that all initiatives, policies, and procedures across the Account are implemented in order to eliminate and / or minimise potential operational risk and to drive operation performance. Ensure that the Account property portfolio complies with all Legal, Regulatory, Statutory, contractual requirements. Develop and implement relevant processes and procedures to ensure and maintain compliance across the Region. Establish and maintain a culture of Compliance to legal, statutory, contractual and the clients' requirements across the Region. Ensure that Risk Management is one of the main focus points across the Account, whilst ensuring that the Account Risk Register is kept up to date at all times. Be the account subject matter expert and inform account team on all areas of compliance requirements, keeping up to date with industry, statutory, client and CBRE requirements across each Region.

Key Outputs / Deliverables:



Develop and maintain a Register of all Client and CBRE policies, procedures, standards, legislative and regulatory requirements applicable to the Account portfolio. Maintain an up-to-date Compliance asset register requiring a statutory inspection or certification and track reactive tasks. Provide advice, assistance, and guidance to the account management team on all matters relating to compliance across the Region, maintaining a firm approach to ensure that policies and procedures are understood, applied and followed at all times. Ensure that all statutory and compliance obligations are formally documented and implemented through suitable compliance systems. Consolidate and / or provide compliance support for CBRE functional teams including reporting through the relevant monthly governance meetings. Maintain effective communication on all compliance matters with the Regional Management team. Ensure standardisation in Compliance across the Regional portfolio at all times. Develop and deliver initiatives to promote continuous improvement and best practice.

Decision Making/Budgetary Control:

The Compliance Manager is fully accountable for ensuring that the Account is fully compliant.

Success Measures:



Achievement will be measured by specific targets/KPIs/metrics through the Account Reviews process. These will include but are not limited to: Identification of all compliance requirements, to ensure compliance across the Global account. Client feedback/achievement of compliance activities via monthly reports and meetings Implementation of a full audit programme with corrective action plans as required. Risk mitigation across the Global portfolio

Qualification / Competency:



Bachelor's degree preferred with 3 - 5 years relevant experience or in lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Leadership skills of remote working Teams with the ability to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
