Job Description
FINTEC recruit is supporting the recruitment for an Engineering Director for a new and exciting opportunity in the UK. This is permanent role working remotely with travel around the UK. The salary is up to 125k plus benefit and a bonus package.
We're looking for a hands-on Engineering Director to lead technical direction for HV/EHV OHTL projects across the region. This is a high-visibility role working directly with utilities, EPCs, and senior stakeholders to shape system upgrades and capacity updates.
Responsibilities of the Engineering Director -
- Lead technical design + analysis for OHTL projects
- Work with utilities to solve complex engineering challenges
- Support BD with senior-level technical input
- Develop concepts, feasibility studies, and proposals with global teams
- Evaluate pilot projects (modelling, optimisation, risk)
- Review designs, reports, and specs
- Act as regional technical owner -- pathway to Regional CTO/Chief Engineer
- Strong HV/EHV OHTL design experience
- Ability to define problems + deliver robust solutions
- Hands-on design mindset, not purely management
- Clear communicator in senior utility meetings
