We're looking for a talented and driven Engineering Geologist/Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing Civic Earth team! You will contribute to exciting building and public realm projects across the UK--from residential and commercial developments to major urban regeneration schemes. You must be passionate about shaping sustainable places and tackling complex ground engineering challenges. You'll be working alongside industry experts, collaborating with high-profile private and public sector clients, and playing a vital role in delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
Technical
Contributing to high quality written reports such as desk studies, geotechnical and geoenvironmental interpretative reports and geotechnical design reports Geotechnical design and analysis
Specifying and supervising site investigation works with support from the project team
Assessing problems using qualitative and quantitative measures
Preparation, presentation and self-checking of technical data and drawings
Use of industry standard analysis software, knowledge of Open Ground, QGIS and geotechnical software desirable
Compliance with the duties of Designer under the CDM Regulations 2015
Compliance with the practice QMS, including self-checking
Managerial
Understanding the project in order to deliver outputs required, deadlines, liaising with the project team, feeding any matters arising back to senior team
Telephone and email contact with clients and collaborators
Attending site and project team meetings under the direction of a Project Manager/Project Director
Contributing to writing bids and fee proposals
Qualifications
A degree in geology, engineering geology, civil/geotechnical engineering or similar
Working towards Chartership with the ICE or GeolSoc
