Engineering Geologist

Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Geologist (2+ years) to join a well-established ground investigation team operating across the UK. The position offers a diverse and engaging workload, working closely with in-house engineering, drilling, and commercial teams to deliver high-quality ground investigation projects.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a range of ground investigations across various industry sectors, including environmental, infrastructure, and communications.
Take the lead on stakeholder engagement during site operations.
Manage site activities, documentation, and health & safety compliance.
Supervise teams of logging engineers, drilling crews, and other site personnel.
Collect and process site data digitally using OpenGround (training provided).
Training and Development
Ongoing professional development is supported through structured training programmes, including essential ground investigation certifications, SSSTS, SMSTS, and other technical or commercial seminars. Attendance at professional geological events is encouraged, with support offered toward chartership.
Essential Skills and Experience
BSc degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years' relevant industry experience.
Proven ability to set up and execute projects following industry best practices and standards.
Strong focus on health and safety management.
Willingness to work away from home regularly.
Full UK driving licence required.
