The Job Mission



This position is based in Bridgwater with hybrid working (three days in the office, two from home). Relocation assistance is available for those moving closer to site.


As an

Engineering Lead - Contract Delivery (Nuclear Island & BOP)

, you'll oversee the technical and engineering aspects of key supplier contracts, ensuring safe, timely, and compliant delivery of equipment across Nuclear Island and Balance of Plant (BOP) systems. Your future team will rely on you to coordinate across disciplines, resolve engineering queries, and maintain alignment between design, manufacturing, and site requirements.

Lead contract technical meetings and attend project coordination sessions Drive resolution of technical queries and cross-disciplinary design issues Review and approve contractor deliverables and engineering design changes Manage contract technical evolution, including exemptions and amendments Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to support contract delivery Liaise with Responsible Designers, client functions, and stakeholders to ensure integration of equipment and systems Oversee qualification of equipment to align with contract progress and site needs Support Project Managers with resource planning, risk management, and budget control Report KPIs and progress updates to senior stakeholders Mentor and guide less experienced engineers to strengthen your future team

Qualifications



Essential Skills



Degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering or Scientific discipline Understanding of construction, installation, Health & Safety legislation, and CDM regulations Ability to apply multidisciplinary technical knowledge to challenge and validate designs Strong technical background in mechanical equipment, rotating machinery, or steelwork

Desired Skills



Familiarity with EPR or general PWR design Experience in nuclear equipment design, manufacture, commissioning, or operations Experience with change management and contract/deliverable management tools (UKDC, UKICM, OPM, CEMAR, Teamcenter) Previous experience in contract management and document surveillance Ability to influence stakeholders in a fast-paced, site-based environment
