Position: Engineering Lead



Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Lead to support the successful execution of projects within our organisation. The Engineering Lead must have a comprehensive electrical background, preferably with experience in containerised solutions and will work closely with a team of both project engineers and design engineers to assist with planning, design, drawing packages, detail project documentation, technical assistance and be an overall electrical point of contact within the business. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, competent in all areas of electrical design and have a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget. The candidate will work directly with the senior leadership team and report directly to the CEO.

Working Hours:

Full time - 37.5 Hours / Week

Responsibilities:

1. Leadership: Lead the engineering team offering the required support and guidance to meet key project deliverables and manage all workloads through the department ensuring any identified issues are resolved in a timely manner to maintain project timelines.

2. Product Design: Work individually and as part of a team designing mainly containerised modular solutions and skid systems suited for both safe and hazardous areas. Electrical design in pressurised cabins is desired.

3. Drawings: Production and engineering drawings including block diagrams, schematic diagrams, interconnection diagrams, termination diagrams, cable schedules and data sheets. The mentioned drawing package shall be inclusive of fire and gas systems.

4. Project Support: Collaborate with project engineers and design engineers to support the planning and execution of electrical projects. Take ownership of communications and be client facing in relation to any project challenges that may arise.

5. Installation and Testing: Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment in compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

6. Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test reports.

7. Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues during project implementation and provide effective solutions.

8. Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and regulations throughout the project's lifecycle.

9. Material Management: Assist in managing project materials, inventory, and procurement to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness.

10. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance processes to verify that electrical systems meet project specifications and performance standards.

11. Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project progress.

12. On-site Support: Provide on-site support during project execution, including system checks and problem resolution.

13. Training and Development: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, seeking continuous improvement in technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a benefit.

2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of practical and supervisory experience in electrical project management and design or a similar role.

3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical system installation, testing, and troubleshooting.

4. Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.

5. Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety protocols.

6. Communication Abilities: Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.

7. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and project execution.

8. Adaptability: Ability to work in diverse environments and adapt to changing project requirements.

9. Team Player: A collaborative mindset, able to work effectively as part of a project team.

10. Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines and milestones.

Pay: 45,072.84-70,000.00 per year
