Job Title: Engineering Manager - Autonomous System Capabilities and Integration

Salary: 54,793.00 + Depending on Skillset
What you'll be doing:
Engage and develop relationships with key suppliers, entities and customers to develop Mission Systems Technologies and Capabilities to meet the emerging requirements of FalconWorks future platforms
Support the FalconWorks Systems Delivery and platform teams in analysing and selecting solutions to meet the FalconWorks platforms concept of operations, helping to securing new business, including contract amendments for ongoing activities in order to capture changing requirements, but also new programmes as required
Lead the development of technologies and strategies to support the Integration of FalconWorks platforms with operational fast-jet infrastructure through our ongoing strategic relationship with QinetiQ, DSTL and the RCO
Lead the delivery of a Mission Systems Capability into the development of a Tier 1 ACP capability being coordinated through the PACE team, ensuring short and longer term capability requirements are satisfied and enabling leverage of the Mission Systems element back into the FalconWorks Systems team
Manage both internal and external suppliers of equipment and software, liaising closely with the Commercial / Procurement teams to provide technical oversight during supplier management, contract negotiations and risk reviews
Your skills and experiences:
The ability to form and lead cross-functional and cross organisational teams, working collaboratively with internal and external partners, ideally including Academia and organisations such as Dstl and the Rapid Capabilities Office
Experience of working at all levels of the systems engineering lifecycle and have the ability to develop and communicate clear and concise requirements and understand the principles and advantages of Requirements Management within ill-defined and rapidly-changing environments, ideally based on the Agile management of programmes vs. traditional Waterfall approaches
Good communications skills with the ability to develop relationships, whilst extracting information from and providing guidance to other personnel
Experience of ELCM (Design Review and TBR) and ASEL reviews and an understanding of the commercial processes used to support the engineering activities
Be a team player and demonstrate the will to succeed in a team environment, but with ability to work autonomously also, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem solving and an innovative flair in finding solutions with an organised and methodical approach
