As an Engineering Manager (Platform) at MHR, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our innovative products while developing your leadership skills. Reporting to the Head of Architecture, you will manage and develop Cloud Engineers, cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continual improvement. Your Impact



The Cloud Platform Engineering Manager is responsible for delivering the platform roadmap and architecture, including the implementation of tooling, processes and automation to support efficient platform delivery. You will lead, develop and manage a high-performing, collaborative Cloud Platform team, ensuring the reliability, scalability and performance of all customer-facing cloud services, providing clear technical direction, support and career development.

As an Engineering Manager, you'll:

Lead and manage a team of Cloud Engineers, offering guidance, mentoring, and performance reviews. Collaborate with senior management, architects, and engineering teams to align Cloud Platform initiatives with business goals. Drive the delivery of cloud infrastructure proof-of-concepts, overseeing their transition to full-scale deployment. Promote Agile development practices and continuous delivery. Address challenges, implement solutions, and strive to enhance productivity and efficiency. Foster a generative culture where learning and innovation thrive.

What you'll bring to the role and MHR



Proven ability to lead and manage a team of Cloud Engineers Skilled in working with senior management, architecture teams, and stakeholders to align cloud platform initiatives with broader organisational and technical goals. Experience in identifying and resolving team challenges, implementing solutions that improve efficiency and productivity, and fostering a collaborative, learning-focused culture. Strong background in administrating and engineering cloud platforms, with expertise in setting best practices for CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Effective communicator with the ability to provide clear updates on infrastructure progress and challenges and manage vendor relationships for escalated support and change management. Ability to collaborate with software engineering teams to understand and advise on infrastructure requirements that support scalable and secure solutions.
