Position Summary

Euravia Engineering & Supply Co Ltd, a part of Magellan Aerospace Kelbrook, Lancashire has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager.

  • Full-time-permanent position
  • 5 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday 7:45am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:45am - 12:15pm.
  • Job location: Colne Road, Kelbrook, Lancashire BB18 6SN
To lead a small team of engineers, providing release documentation in accordance with the relevant regulatory authority, delivering technical support to production, customer support team and direct to customers; maintain productive programme growth in accordance with Euravia's Business Plan and quality standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for leading the Engineering department.
  • Address internal and customer technical queries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that appropriate action meets those requirements.
  • Generate technical reports which provide detail analysis of root cause of failure and rectification methods.
  • Produce aviation release documents for completed engines acceptable to the relevant regulatory authority.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained and improved throughout the production cycle ensuring airworthiness of the highest standard.
  • Review engine technical documents to ascertain history and subsequent scope of work required to restore airworthiness.
  • Ensure that Euravia's procedures and standards are complied at all times.
  • Maintaining the necessary technical documents in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop improvement programmes to enhance Euravia's productivity and achieve agreed KPI's.
  • Compliance with statutory requirements and regulations and Company procedures.
  • Maintain the highest 6S standard.
  • Ensure compliance with H & S requirements and liaise with H&S manager as necessary.
  • Completion of any other reasonable tasks as designated by your Line Manager.
Position Requirements
Essential Criteria:
  • Any combination of an engineering degree / HND equivalent that will support the required knowledge and abilities appropriate to the position.
  • Strong engineering skills including experience of system/process improvements.
  • High degree of computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Minimum five years relevant work experience of which at least two years should be from the aeronautical industry.
  • Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
