We are recruiting an Engineering Manager to join the team located in London. The Engineering Manager is the focal management position that ensures safe operational running of the portfolio, ensuring seamless delivery of Critical service to all Client departments and building occupiers. Management of Engineering team, co-ordination of all Planned and reactive tasks to a high quality and within contractual SLA. Stewardship of CBRE SSOW procedures. CBRE & Client Escalation point for technical issues.

To ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems within the site are completed in line with REALM & Client technical standards and on time.

Lead the duty CRS Engineering team on control of Critical and Statutory systems including but not limited to UPS, Generators, HV, PDU\'s, CRAC units or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To Manage the CBRE Cerm TM Processes and Quantum to ensure the mitigation of risk to the operation of critical plant and equipment.
  • To Manage Client operational processes to include BIRs, Change Management, Change Control, Tech face evaluations and REALM.
  • Surveillance of all Critical systems, understand operating parameters and set points.
  • Surveillance of all engineering related works undertaken on the portfolio
  • Planned Periodic auditing of all shifts quality and management of PPM and reactive tasks
  • Complete representative audit of all works undertaken by your direct team and peers.
  • Embed and Manage CBRE SSOW and controls to an auditable standard.
  • Ensure correct escalation process is followed, Acting as principal incident manager out of hours.
  • Ensure high quality delivery of PPM and reactive works to meet SLA.
  • Provide regular team performance reviews to Engineering Operations Director
  • Ensure CBRE standards are met, including dress code, attitude, pride, self-respect and respect to
  • others, positivity and team working.
  • Understand and implement QHSE policy requirements.
  • Regularly review risk assessments and audit H&S compliance of direct team
  • Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to ensure plant is always in optimum condition.
  • Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
  • Takes Ownership, ability to motivate self and team, Articulate, Good communicator.
  • To develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE staff and clients.
  • Ensure that all plant rooms under the responsibility of CBRE are always locked and are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Management of CBRE sub-contractors works, ensuring accurate PPM task completion.
  • Coordination and reporting of remedial actions associated with CBRE partners.
  • Continual surveillance of Critical systems and all works undertaken on the premises.
  • Commercial acumen and strong customer relationship skills
  • Acting Duty HV/LV Authorised Person.
  • Ensure all training and AP competences are maintained for all CRS shift APs
  • Manage holiday and sickness cover, always ensuring Duty AP on shift and a minimum of 3 on duty shift at all times to include 2 APs
  • Managing return to work system as necessary for all shift engineers.
  • Mock drills management and delivery in line with CERM and Client standards
  • Ensure shift handover information and reporting, always ensuring stability of shifts.
  • Ensure Client and CBRE training is up to date and completed on time by CRS engineering team.
Essential Skills:
  • C&Guilds or Higher NVQ level qualification
  • HVAP Authorised person
  • Substantial experience within Critical Banking
  • Substantial experience within M&E delivery
  • Electrical/Mechanical engineering qualification
  • Demonstratable experience & understanding of Health & Safety
  • People management skills and team building experience
  • Good communicator, Financial acumen, presentable, articulate
  • Well organised and good prioritisation and planning skills.
  • Service orientated attitude combined with innovative thinking
  • Takes Ownership
  • Self-motivated with a high level of personal integrity, professional manner and resourceful
  • Ability to manage CAFM systems.
  • Ability to manage Client CHG management system.
  • Able to lead and manage an engineering team.
  • Courteous and presentable as the role is both front and back of house, with exposure to the client at all levels.
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness will be required as the job entails manual handling both within and between buildings.
  • Knowledge of Critical cooling systems and SLA\'s / KPI\'s within a critical environment
  • Knowledge of basic Air Conditioning and humidity control
  • Practical knowledge of H&S requirements inc RA\'s, Lock out Tag out, Permits to work.
  • Experience in main distribution board switching of ACB\'s
  • Experience in the operation and control of sprinkler systems and fire systems
  • Experience in use and interrogation of BMS systems in monitoring plant
